Accounts Payable Supervisor [United States]

We have an immediate opening for an AP Supervisor who will oversee day to day activities of the Expense Control team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review and approves monthly accruals, reversals, and amortization entries of Expense Control team

    Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations for various prepaid, AP accrual, and tax withholding accounts
  • Perform monthly P&L fluctuation analysis and investigation
  • Research accounting standards, guidance, and pronouncements
  • Document accounting policies and procedures
  • Analyze and forecast organization’s expenses
  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable process including review of invoice/expense reimbursement reports and payment processing
  • Manage correspondence with vendors and colleagues regarding invoice and payable/expense accounting inquiries
  • Manage IRA/TEFRA withholding payments and quarterly/annual filings for state and federal requirements
  • Manage annual property statement filings
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned


Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of U.S. GAAP

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) with strong Excel skills
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various departments and levels of the organization
  • Ability to analyze processes and improve efficiency
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong management and supervision skills
  • Experience in Financial Services, particularly broker/dealer
