Rural Clinical School

  • Position located in Bunbury, WA
  • 0.5FTE part-time appointment until December 2024
  • Base salary range: Level 4 $68,640 – $72,913 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation

About the team

The Rural Clinical School of Western Australia is a unit within the UWA Medical School, which provides rural clinical training for WA medical students. The RCSWA spans a breadth of some 3,500kms across multiple sites in WA order to provide a positive rural educational experience, increase the quantity and quality of the rural workforce and in turn improve health outcomes in rural and remote Australia.

The Academic Services team provides academic administration and technical support services to the University’s schools, including Heads of School, academic staff and research students. The team is committed to providing effective and efficient services in support of the Schools’ and University’s strategic objectives, with a focus on continuous improvement and best practice. The team provides academic support services and general administrative support to the University’s Schools.

About the opportunity

As an Academic Services Assistant you will provide expertise in a wide variety of administrative and secretarial duties to support the Bunbury office, staff and students.

Your responsibilities will include establishing filing, spreadsheets, databases and websites; arranging meetings, conferences, travel and accommodation; preparing agendas and minutes; responding to enquires; and liaising with other areas.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

  • Year 12 or equivalent competency
  • Considerable relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills
  • Well-developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to providing a high level of quality customer service
