**JOB SUMMARY**
Assists Anesthesiologists before and during medical procedures; coordinates and provides anesthesia supplies, medications and equipment effectively. Assists Anesthesiologists by setting-up equipment and preparing medications. Participates in preparing patients for anesthesia delivery and operating devices and monitors. Orders, stocks, tests and maintains anesthesia supplies, medications and equipment. Washes and sterilizes reusable equipment; reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel.
**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**
This is a fast paced anesthesia tech position that requires great communication, ability to prioritize, great multi-tasking and team work skills. The primary role of this position is to turnover the anesthesia equipment/supplies after each OR case. This requires efficiency and consistency.
**DEPARTMENT DETAILS**
Position is at South University Orthopedic Hospital. Day shifts are 8 hours with rotating start times each week. Scrubs are provided. Must be able to wear a surgical mask.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have one year experience in a health care environment. Must have knowledge of medical terminology and strong computer skills.
