Description: Kettering Health Network is at present looking to employ SURGICAL TECH right now, this vacancy will be placed in Ohio. Detailed specification about this vacancy opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. Functions as a part of the surgical service team. Provides care to pediatric through geriatric patients under the direction of an RN and / or Physician in the Intra Operative and Endoscopic phases utilizing experience, knowledge of equipment and instrumentation to ensure the best possible outcomes. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist / CRNA and RN continuously. Participates in performance improvement activities. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Assesses operating room equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individ! ual procedures and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical o! perating team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure
BLS, Computer knowledge / keyboarding. Able to communicate in English using both verbal and written forms effectively. Displays effective listening skills. Writes and understands medical terminology. Certificate of completion accredited ORT program or applicable on the job or military training prefered. Recommend: Application to sit for certification exam within 1 year. CST- Certificate of completion accredited ORT program or military training. One year OR experience preferred
