Anesthesia Technician

Description: Portneuf Medical Center is looking of Anesthesia Technician right now, this job will be placed in Idaho. This position provides assistance to the anesthesia department in preparing medications, stocking, ordering, cleaning, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Responsible for monitoring quality control and operation of equipment. Must develop and maintain a professional working relationship with the anesthesiologists, other technicians, secretary, nurses and other staff. Responsible to clean, organize, and stock anesthesia machines and carts daily. Completes inspections and calibrations, as required. Changes soda lime and replaces empty gas cylinders, when necessary. Replace sharps containers w! hen full.
Requirements
High school diploma o! r GED, with previous Operating Room or hospital experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Current BLS certification. Knowledge and skill of the function and handling of supportive/adaptive patient equipment and devices. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Basic computer knowledge.
