Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Description: St. Alexius Medical Center is currently seeking to employ CRNA right now, this vacancy will be ordered in North Dakota. Detailed specification about this vacancy opportunity kindly read the description below. Responsible to the Chief Nurse Anesthetist. Ensures quality patient care while providing pain relief during surgical and special procedures. Administers appropriate anesthetic techniques to all risk and! age categories of patients. CRNAs function within the scope of their practice, and according to the North Dakota State Nurse Practice Act.
Anesthetics administered in the Medical Center by CRNAs will be supervised by an Anesthesiologist or qualified MD practitioner. Staff CRNAs who provide relief coverage in an affiliated community hospital will practice independently with available consultation of the Anesthesiology Services at St. Alexius Medical Center.
Education: Graduate of an approved program in Nursing, Bachelor’s preferred. Graduate from an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia, Master’s & DNP preferred.
Licensure: License to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse â€" Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in the state of North Dakota. Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
Experience: One to two years of experience as a critical care RN.
Skills: Computer ability preferred. B! asic Life Support Certification within 480 hours of employment! and meets re-certification as required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) & Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 480 hours of employment and meets re- certification as required.
Interpersonal Skills: Good communication skills are necessary because of the constant
communication, both oral and written, with patients, families, visitors and medical center staff. Accountable for own conduct and promotes and supports positive working relationships among staff, between other disciplines, departments, families, visitors and patients. Maintains confidentiality.
Physical Effort: Medium. Sometimes involves a maximum physical effort requirement of 50 pounds.
Hours of Work: Rotating shift work or straight evenings or nights. Rotating holidays and weekends may be required.
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt/Exempt
Other Works under the following conditions: potential exposure to mechanical, chemical, electrical and infect! ious environmental hazards.
