GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for all recruitment and employment contracting. Compliance with all employment regulations, benefits, wage and salary administration, in-house training and payroll administration. Staff grievance liaison.
- Evaluate and recommend competitive benefits package for consideration of annual budgets.
- Assist in negotiations and developing job offers
- Serve as resource and counsel to management regarding Human Resource issues
- Assure discipline processes are compliant to company policies/procedures
- Submit, within due dates, government reports.
- Administrate payroll and benefits according to enrollment due dates and policies/procedures.
- Maintain employee personnel files as stipulated by regulations
- Maintain all OSHA and Worker’s Comp files in compliance with regulations.
- Keep up to date on regulatory changes as dictated by regulations and law and inform CEO.
- Maintain employee handbook, making changes as necessary.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Education:
- Degree in Human Resources Management
- SPHR certification preferred
- Attend local and national conferences to remain current regarding issues relevant to duties
Experience:
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Familiarity with Employment Laws and Regulations
- Computer literate in electronic mail, word processing and office management system software
- Experience with automated payroll system
- At least three years experience with benefit administration
- Must meet deadlines consistently
- Self organized and able to set priorities
