We currently are seeking a highly motivated Manager to lead multiple client engagement teams, work with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services, and lead business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts.
We are growing our Advisory practice to support both providers and p! ayers in addressing challenges facing the healthcare industry.! Our healthcare advisory team focuses on providing advisory services in the following areas to address key Senior Leadership issues: hospital operations, revenue cycle, reimbursement/regulatory, finance transformation, supply chain, managed care-provider and managed care-payer operations. Our Advisory Performance Improvement staff work collaboratively with health care providers, executive, physicians, clinicians and staff to help them in their efforts to radically reduce operating costs and improve margins without sacrificing quality of care. Responsibilities
Lead clinical care assessment and implementation transformation client engagements. Consistently deliver quality client services. Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Manage expectations of client service delivery. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.
Effectively lead and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment. Play an active role in counseling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization.
Generate new business opportunities. Understand Ernst & Young and its service lines and actively asses! s/present ways to serve clients. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs.
Demonstrate deep technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate to new knowledge. Possess in depth business acumen. Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.
To qualify, candidates must have:
a bachelor's degree and approximately 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience
management experience in clinical operations, care management/care coordination and/or throughput experience in a provider setting, some of which is at the management level experience in the following areas: academic medical centers and large community hospitals. Clinical experience in one or more of the following: medical/su! rgical nursing, critical care, cardiac cath lab, perioperative, emergen! cy department, outpatient/ ambulatory
a degree with an emphasis in Business, Healthcare Administration or Industrial Engineering
current R.N. license with solid medical-surgical background is required (3+ years)
approximately 4 years of healthcare advisory/consulting experience, preferably with prior experience as a manager (or above), in a consulting firm or in a management role within industry in the provider setting and/or subject matter described above experience with staffing to demand/labor productivity/work redesign within the clinical settings
lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics; manage engagement risk
conduct length-of-stay and patient flow assessments for large community hospital! s, academic medical organizations and large physician practices
assess nursing department operations from a care coordination and patient flow perspective
assess and recommend best practices related to case management, nursing and multi-disciplinary team coordination, patient placement, and discharge processes
track record of expense reduction assessments and/or implementations and/or improvements in capacity/throughput for care delivery settings
assess or participate in the assessment of medical staff structure, roles and responsibilities relative to care coordination, patient throughput and discharge processes
partner with medical staff leaders, such as a physician advisor to the case management function or the Chief Medical Officer assigned to this role
experience in redesign efforts focused on re-defining nursing and care/case manager roles and responsibilities, the collection and use of operational and physician var! iance data and establishing multi-disciplinary daily rounding and stand! ardized order sets
assess provider organizations facing capacity, throughput and care management issues
experienced in redesign of Care/Case Management Departments including organizational structure, job descriptions, development of teams, and policies and processes for performance. redesign efforts should include such activities as patient placement, utilization management, discharge planning, care coordination, quality/performance improvement, and clinical documentation
design and implementation of patient flow and placement systems, including access centers, bed control areas and patient flow coordinator roles
manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors (c-suite)
demonstrated record of driving revenue within existing healthcare clients and in developing new prospects at the "C" level of large healthcare companies
develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and ! lead pursuit teams; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies
develop practical solutions and methodologies; develop "thought leadership" and "point-of-view" documents; participate in public speaking events; get published in industry periodicals
proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills and ability to independently produce documents or aptitude to develop this level of skill within a defined period of time
flexible, positive, clear interpersonal and communication skills with ability to facilitate the exchange of information within all levels of a provider based, client organization, including, but not limited to, surgeons, anesthesiologists, hospital executives, and other professional and ancillary staff
analytical skills related to independently interpreting, preparing and analyzing budget and workload data, LOS information, comparisons with relev! ant federal and/or other performance based data
